WHEREAS, KMOX-TV, Channel 4, produced and presented on
July 4, 1964, a documentary program on the District's stormwater
problems as part of the station's "Eye on St. Louis" series, and
WHEREAS, this program through its objective approach
and the excellence of its organization and its narration by KMOX-
TV director of Public Affairs, Parker Wheatley, performed a timely
and much needed public service in properly informing the people of
the District of stormwater problems; and
WHEREAS, Channel 4, its principals and staff, gave
generously of their time, talents and facilities, not only to
produce and present this program, but to extend the kind of
courtesy of a special private showing for the District's Board of
Trustees and executive staff at the station on July 9, 1964;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT herewith
expresses its sincerest compliments to Channel 4, its executive
staff, to Parker Wheatley and those other individuals specifically
engaged in producing this program, for this most effective and
important public service; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees
expresses herewith the District's deep appreciation to Channel 4
and the above individuals for this public service and for the
thoughtful courtesy of the special showing.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted July 23, 1964.
