WHEREAS, the Honorable Louis H. Antoine, Sr., Chairman
of the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, died on December 14, 1965, in his sixty-second year, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Antoine gave a lifetime of faithful and
distinguished service to his community, and
WHEREAS, a great measure of his profound capacity and
his devotion to the progress of man and his society was given to
the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, Mr. Antoine having been
appointed a Trustee on May 17, 1962, and elected Chairman for the
fiscal year 1965-66, and
WHEREAS, Mr Antoine's intelligent leadership, his warm
and compassionate personality, his courage and limitless integrity
brought to the District a dignity and high purpose unsurpassed,
and
WHEREAS, the rare abilities and qualities of this man
served as an inspiration to the Board and employees of the
District and were of immeasurable importance in moving the
District to unprecedented successes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the sympathies of
each member of this Board of Trustees be extended to Mr. Antoine's
widow, Florence B. Antoine, and to his sons, Louis H. Antoine,
Jr., and Alan D. Antoine, and to his family; that this Resolution
be entered upon the minutes of this Board and copies thereof
forwarded to Mrs. Antoine and to Louis H., Jr., and Alan D.
Antoine; and that the Board members stand in one minute of silence
in honor and respect to the memory of Louis H. Antoine, Sr.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted January 13, 1966.
