WHEREAS Richard A. Meyer has faithfully served from
September 10, 1962, until February 18, 1966, as a member and vice-
chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District; and
WHEREAS, this Board wishes to express its sincere
appreciation to Mr. Meyer for these years of outstanding service
to the District and the citizens it serves;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
The Board herewith cites and thanks Mr. Meyer for the
generous giving of his time and energies to the District, for the
exemplary strength of character and quality of abilities that made
his service of prime importance to the continued progress of the
District;
Mr. Meyer brought to his tenure with this Board a level
of intelligence, business acumen and articulate leadership
equalled by few; on many occasions, his incisive thinking and
decisive analysis led to the proper resolution of extremely
difficult matters confronting the District; on all occasions, his
unusual abilities and broad experience were an asset to the
District;
Beyond his exceptional capabilities, Mr. Meyer is a
good and valued friend. His presence on this Board will be missed,
by the Board, by the District, and by its citizens.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this expression
by the Board be forwarded to Mr. Meyer.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted April 6, 1966.
