WHEREAS, a public sewer now in operation lies in an
easement in the former north-south alley 15 feet wide in the
eastern portion of City Block 74 of the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, which alley was vacated by Ordinance No. 53554 of said
City adopted June 22, 1965, which reserved a sewer easement
therein to this District, and
WHEREAS, the owner of the land in which such sewer lies
has requested permission to permit the encroachment of a building
across said easement and examination and survey of such sewer and
of such building show that it will not damage the existing sewer,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Executive
Director be and he is hereby authorized and directed to license
the aforesaid encroachment on said easement, provided that the
right to the District to use the easement is preserved, and under
suitable indemnity provisions.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted September 30, 1966.
