HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0899 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 899 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88, adopted the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by Resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, in that they form an integral part of the sewer system serving the public, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance as an integral part of the public sewer system: 1. That sewer lying in the east side of Belt Avenue and extending from Enright Avenue to Clemens Avenue, and lying in the east-west alley of City Block 5484, and extending from Arlington Avenue to Belt Avenue. 2. That sewer lying in Maple Avenue and extending from Union Boulevard to Belt Avenue. 3. That sewer lying in Bartmer Avenue and extending from Union Boulevard across Belt Avenue westwardly a distance of approximately 200 feet. 4. That sewer constructed under Permit No 85630 and lying in Oak Court in City Block 3833E and extending from Page Boulevard southwardly. The foregoing Resolution was adopted October 17, 1966.
