HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0901 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 901 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88, adopted the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, in that they form an integral part of the sewer system serving the public, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance as an integral part of the public sewer system: 1. That sewer lying in Dover Place and extending from Coronado Avenue to Arendes Drive. 2. That sewer lying in the east-west alley in City Blocks 5972 and 5971, and extending from Coronado Avenue to Arendes Drive. 3. That sewer lying in Arendes Drive and extending from Wilmington Avenue northwardly to the east-west alley in City Block 5973, and in the northern side of Wilmington Avenue and extending eastwardly from Arendes Drive approximately 190 feet. 4. That sewer lying in the east-west alley in City Blocks 5922 and 5923 and extending from Coronado Avenue to Arendes Drive, and lying in Livingston Drive between Wilmington Avenue and Fillmore Street. 5. That sewer lying in the east-west alleys in City Blocks 5921 and 5924, and extending from Coronado Avenue to Arendes Drive. 6. That sewer lying in the east-west alleys in City Blocks 5920 and 5925, and extending from Coronado Avenue to Arendes Drive, and lying in Livingston Drive between Bowen Street and Federer Place. 7. That sewer lying in the east-west alleys in City Blocks 5919 and 5926, and extending from Coronado Avenue to Arendes Drive, and lying in Coronado Avenue, and extending from Holly Hills Boulevard to the east-west alley in City Block 5926; and lying in Livingston Drive and extending from Holly Hills Boulevard to the east-west alley in City Block 5919; and lying in the north-south walk in City Block 5919 and extending from Holly Hills Boulevard to Federer Place; and lying in Holly Hills Boulevard, and extending from the north-south walkway in City Block 5919 eastwardly a distance of approximately 150 feet. 3 8. That sewer lying in Arendes Drive and extending from Wilmington Avenue to Federer Place; and extending eastwardly from the intersection of Federer Place and Arendes Drive in a 15 foot wide alley to Missouri Pacific Railroad right-of-way; and in an easement lying adjacent to the west line of such railroad right-of-way and extending southeastwardly from such 15 foot wide alley a distance of approximately 300 feet, and extending northeastwardly therefrom in an easement across said railroad right-of-way, together with such easements. 9. Those sewers lying in the intersection of Holly Hills Boulevard and Arendes Drive, and in Arendes Drive from Holly Hills Boulevard to the east-west alley in City Block 5919, and from the intersection of Arendes Drive and said east-west alley in City Block 5919, northeastwardly in an easement to the Missouri Pacific Railroad right-of-way, together with such easement. 10. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 14801 and lying in the east-west alley in City Block 5866 and extending from Dewey Avenue to the north-south alley in said city block, and lying in Dewey Avenue between Fillmore Street and Wilmington Avenue, and in Wilmington Avenue from Dewey Avenue to the Missouri Pacific Railroad right-of-way. 11. That sewer lying in Dewey Avenue and extending from Wilmington Avenue to the east-west alley in City Block 5863, and extending from the intersection of Dewey Avenue and Bellerive Boulevard westwardly in an easement to the north-south alley in City Block 5871, together with such easement. 4 12. That sewer in the east-west alley in City Block 5865 and extending from Dewey Avenue to the north-south alley in such city block. 13. That sewer lying in the east-west alley in City Block 5864 and extending from Dewey Avenue to the north-south alley in such city block, and lying in such north-south alley and extending from Dover Place to Bellerive Boulevard and lying in Dover Place and extending from said north-south alley to Grand Avenue. 14. That sewer lying in the east-west alley in City Block 5863 and extending from Dewey Avenue to the north-south alley in said city block, and lying in said north-south alley and extending from Bellerive Boulevard to said east-west alley, and lying in the north-south walk in said city block and extending from Bellerive Boulevard to said east-west alley. The foregoing Resolution was adopted November 10, 1966.
