HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0906 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 906 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88, adopted the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, in that they form an integral part of the sewer system serving the public, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance as an integral part of the public sewer system: 1. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 79256 and lying in the north-south alley in City Block 2862, and extending from Bellerive Boulevard to Bates Street. 2 2. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 80996 and lying in the north-south alley in City Block 2857, and extending from Bates Street to Fassen Street. 3. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 32837 and lying in an easement in City Block 2825 and extending from Michigan Avenue eastwardly approximately 240 feet, together with such easement. 4. That sewer lying in the east side of Pennsylvania Avenue and extending from Hill Street to Eichelberger Street. 5. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 89697 and lying in Grand Boulevard and extending from Delor Street to Itaska Street. 6. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 76861 and lying in Alaska Avenue and extending from Delor Street southwardly approximately 300 feet. 7. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 88565 and lying in Liberty Street and extending from Idaho Avenue to Alabama Avenue. The foregoing Resolution was adopted December 22, 1966.
