WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers
hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be
acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance,
and which it is desirable for the District to operate and
maintain, and
WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88 adopted the
16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or
all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever, in
the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be
found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the
District should assume title to such sewers, and
WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that
no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the
hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends
that the District should assume title to such sewers in that they
form an integral part of the sewer system serving the public,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that title to the
following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of
St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewn District for public use, operation and maintenance as an
integral part of the public sewer system:
1. Those sewers constructed under Permits Numbered
93827 and 93912 and lying in Compton Avenue and extending from
Osage Street to Keokuk Street, and lying in Michigan Avenue and
extending from Osage Street to Keokuk Street, and in the
southernmost east-west alley in City Block 2573, between Compton
Avenue and Michigan Avenue.
2. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 82955 and
lying in Minnesota Avenue and extending from Osage Street to the
southernmost east-west alley in City Block 2572, and that sewer
constructed under Permit No. 83047 and lying in the east-west
alleys and north-south alley in City Block 2572.
3. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 82021 and
lying in Virginia Avenue and extending from Winnebago Street to
the northernmost east-west alley in City Block 1616 and lying in
the east-west alleys and in the north-south alley in said City
Block 1616.
4. That sewer lying in the east-west alleys and in
the north-south alley in City Block 1619, and extending from the
northernmost east-west alley therein eastwardly across Compton
Avenue.
5. That sewer lying in the north-south alley in
City Block 2747 and extending from the east-west alley therein
southwardly approximately 200 feet.
6. That sewer lying in Chariton Street and extending
from the west side of Michigan Avenue to the north-south alley in
City Block 2679.
7. That sewer lying in the east side of Michigan
Avenue and extending from the north side of Providence Place to
the east-west alley in City Block 2655 S.
8. Those sewers lying in the north-south and east-

west alleys in City Block 2655 S.
9. That sewer lying in Michigan Avenue and extending
from Meramec Street southwardly a distance of approximately 190
feet. The foregoing Resolution was adopted January 19, 1967.
