WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers
hereinafter described which are in such condition a to be
acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance,
and which it is desirable for the District to operate and
maintain, and
WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88, adopted the
16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or
all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever, in
the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be
found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the
District should assume title to such sewers, and
WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that
no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the
hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends
that the District should assume title to such sewers, in that they
form an integral part of the sewer system serving the public,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that title to the
following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of
St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance as an
integral part of the public sewer system:
1. That sewer lying in Maeder Street and extending
from Broadway to the north-south alley in City Block 2794.
2. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 107,949
and lying in Delor Street and extending from Nebraska Avenue to
the north south alley in City Block 2757, and in such alley and
extending from Delor Street to Itaska Street.
3. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 66927 and
lying in Louis Street, and extending from Field Avenue to
Knackstedt Street, and lying in Knackstedt Street and extending
from Louis Street to the River des Peres right of way, and
extending into such Right of Way to the approximate center
thereof.
4. That sewer lying in the west side of McCausland
Avenue and extending from Marquette Avenue southwardly a distance
of approximately 165 feet.
5. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 8498 and
lying in Bingham Avenue and extending from Ray Avenue to Newport
Avenue.
6. That sewer lying in the east side of Belt Avenue
and extending from Enright Avenue to Clemens Avenue.
7. That sewer lying in Maple Avenue and extending
from Belt Avenue to Goodfellow Boulevard.
8. That sewer lying in Chamberlain Avenue and
extending from Belt Avenue to Goodfellow Boulevard.
9. That sewer lying in Clara Avenue and extending
from Chamberlain Avenue to Bartmer Avenue.
10. That sewer lying in Bartmer Avenue and extending
from Belt Avenue to Clara Avenue. The foregoing Resolution was adopted March 15, 1967.
