HomeMy Public PortalAboutR1020 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 1020 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within St. Louis County certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88, adopted the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, in that they form an integral part of the sewer system serving the public, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in St. Louis County be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance as an integral part of the public sewer system: 1. Those sewers lying in the public easement in Schiermeyer Heights, a Subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 38, Page 57 of the St. Louis County Records. 2. Those sewers lying in that portion of Habecking Avenue adjacent to Lots 12, 13, 14 and 15 of aforesaid subdivision, and in Chambers Road and Chambers Road, SE, from Lot 6 of aforesaid subdivision, to connect with an existing 36 inch sewer in the City of St. Louis approximately 100 feet northwest of Riverview Drive. The foregoing Resolution was adopted November 26, 1968.
