HomeMy Public PortalAboutR1035 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 1035 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88, adopted the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, in that they form an integral part of the sewer system serving the public, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance as an integral part of the public sewer system: 1. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 37412 and lying in Miami Street and extending from Texas Avenue eastwardly to the north-south alley in City Block 1648. 2 2. That sewer constructed under Permit Numbers 69979 and 69978 and lying in the east-west alley in City Block 1567 and in the north-south alley in said city block. 3. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 26463 and lying in the western north-south alley in City Block 1570, and extending southwardly from Potomac Street approximately 350 feet. 4. Those sewers lying in the north-south alleys in City Blocks 1571 and 1636 and extending from Potomac Street across Miami Street to the center of City Block 1636. 5. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 53724 and lying in the north-south alley in City Block 1574, and extending from Miami Street to Potomac Street. 6. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 39378 and lying in the north-south alley in City Block 1624, and extending from Winnebago Street to the east-west alley in said block, and extending west in said east-west alley to Michigan Avenue, and extending northwardly in Michigan Avenue to Miami Street. 7. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 39378 and lying in the north-south alley in City Block 1629, and extending from Winnebago Street to the east-west alley in said city block; and extending westwardly in said east-west alley and across Minnesota Avenue and westwardly in the east-west alley in City Block 1624 approximately 100 feet. 8. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 39378 and lying in the east-west alley in City Block 1629 and extending east from the north-south alley therein across Pennsylvania Avenue and 3 eastwardly in the east-west alley in City Block 1630 approximately 150 feet, and lying in Pennsylvania Avenue and extending from said east-west alley in said City Block 1629 northwardly a distance of approximately 130 feet to Miami Street. 9. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 39378 and lying in Minnesota Avenue and extending from the east-west alley in City Block 1629 northwardly across Miami Street approximately 320 feet, and extending westwardly in the east-west alley in City Block 1579 to Michigan Avenue, and also extending northwardly from such east-west ally in the north-south alley in said City Block 1579 a distance of approximately 230 feet. 10. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 39378 and lying in the north-south alley in City Block 1630 and extending from Winnebago Street northwardly to the east-west alley in said city block; and extending east in said east-west alley to and across Nebraska Avenue. The foregoing Resolution was adopted February 20, 1969.
