HomeMy Public PortalAboutR1038 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 1038 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88, adopted the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, in that they form an integral part of the sewer system serving the public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance as an integral part of the public sewer system: 1. That sewer constructed under Permit Nos. 66776 and 71363 lying in Virginia Avenue and extending from Magnolia Avenue southwardly to the east-west alley in City Block 1451W, and lying in such east-west alley in such City Block 1451W and in City Block 1451E, and extending from Louisiana Avenue across Virginia Avenue and extending approximately 80 feet eastwardly. 2. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 67032 and lying in the east-west easement approximately 20 feet wide in City Block 1445 and extending westwardly from Alhambra Court. 3. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 15427 and lying in the east-west alleys in City Blocks 1451E and 1452B, and extending from the midpoint of said City Block 1451E eastwardly across Compton Avenue, across City Block 1452B to Michigan Avenue, and thence northwardly to Magnolia Avenue. 4. That sewer lying in the north-south alley in City Block 1623, and extending from Winnebago Street northwardly to the east-west alley in said city block, and westwardly in such east- west alley to Compton Avenue. 5. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 72083 and lying in the north-south alley in City Block 1589, and extending from Potomac Street northwardly approximately 300 feet. 6. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 53658 and lying in the eastern north-south alley in City Block 1591, and extending from Potomac Street to the east-west alley in said block. 7. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 83659, and lying in the western north-south alley in City Block 1591, and extending from Potomac Street to the east-west alley in said city block. The foregoing Resolution was adopted March 6, 1969.
