HomeMy Public PortalAboutR1042 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 1042 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88, adopted the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, in that they form an integral part of the sewer system serving the public, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance as an integral part of the public sewer system: 1. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 17016 and lying in Cushing Street and extending from Devolsey Street westwardly approximately 290 feet. 2 2. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 90795 and lying in the north-south alley in City Block 1422, and extending northwardly from Pestalozzi Street approximately 240 feet. 3. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 32598 and lying in Provenchere Place, and extending from Lemp Avenue westwardly approximately 300 feet. The foregoing Resolution was adopted March 18, 1969.
