HomeMy Public PortalAboutR1118 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 1118 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88, adopted the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by Resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance: 1. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 31020 and lying in the north-south alley in City Block 1225 and extending from the northernmost east-west alley southwardly a distance of approximately 275 feet. 2. That sewer lying in the east-west alley in City 2 Block 2266 and extending from Missouri Avenue eastwardly approximately 150 feet. 3. That sewer lying in the east-west alley in City Block 2267 from Missouri Avenue eastwardly approximately 260 feet. 4. That sewer lying in Terry Avenue and extending from Norwood Avenue to Kingshighway Memorial Boulevard. 5. Those sewers constructed under Permit No. 94699 and lying in the east-west alleys in City Blocks 5028 and 4499-S and extending from the north-south alley in City Block 5028 to the north-south alley in City Block 4499-S. 6. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 43183 and lying in the west side of Kingshighway Memorial Boulevard and extending from Maffitt Avenue to Terry Avenue. 7. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 43040 and lying in the east one-half of Kingshighway Memorial Boulevard and extending from Terry Avenue to Lexington Avenue. 8. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 103319 and lying in the north-south alley in City Block 6158 and extending from the east-west alley therein northwardly across Greer Avenue, and lying in the north-south alley in City Block 5952 and extending northwardly to Ashland Avenue. 9. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 18325 and lying in the north-south alley in City Block 5951 and extending from Ashland Avenue to Lexington Avenue. 10. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 23656 and 3 lying in Geraldine Avenue, and extending from Palm Street to the east-west alley in City Block 5949; and extending westwardly in such east-west alley a distance of approximately 100 feet. The foregoing Resolution was adopted April 2, 1970.
