WHEREAS, the City of Vinita Park in an area tributary
to River des Peres has requested the construction of a storm
sewer, identified as the Wolter Avenue Storm Sewer (S-395), to be
constructed along Wolter Avenue north of Page Boulevard, and
WHEREAS, investigation has shown that such area is not
adequately served by storm sewers and that the public health is
affected,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the construction of adequate storm sewers along
Wolter Avenue north of Page Boulevard in the City of Vinita Park
is necessary in the interest of the public health.
2. That such sewer shall consist of approximately 1,361
lineal feet of sewer, varying in diameter from ten to sixty-six
inches, and appurtenances.
3. That the estimated probable cost of such improvement
is Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00).
4. That such improvement shall be paid for from funds
of the District, as follows: $37,000.00from moneys of Subdistrict No. 2 of the River des Peres Watershed (Vinita Park Area) Operation, Maintenance, and Construction Improve-ment Fund.
$38,000.00 from the City of Vinita Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing be held
within said Subdistrict to afford all persons interested in said
improvement an opportunity to be heard; that such hearing shall be

held at such time and place as the Executive Director shall
determine, but not less than ten nor more than thirty days after
the adoption of this resolution; and that notice of such hearing
shall be given by the publication of notice in at least one issue
of a newspaper of general circulation within The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District not less than ten days in advance of the date
of such hearing.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted March 11, 1971.
