HomeMy Public PortalAboutR1180 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 1180 WHEREAS, investigation has shown that the bottom of the River Des Peres stormwater channel in the City of St. Louis from Lansdowne Avenue to Pernod Avenue, is unimproved and that a potential health hazard exists, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. That construction in the aforesaid channel is necessary for protection of the public health. 2. That such construction shall consist of approximately 2,000 lineal feet of 100 foot wide paved channel bottom. 3. That the estimated probable cost of such improvement is Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00). 4. That the entire cost of construction shall be paid for from the General Fund of the Mississippi River Subdistrict. 5. That a public hearing be held within the drainage area of said proposed sewer to afford all persons interested in said improvement an opportunity to be heard; that such hearing shall be held at such time and place as the Executive Director shall fix, but not less than ten nor more than thirty days after the adoption of this resolution; and that notice of such hearing shall be given by the publication of notice in at least one issue of a newspaper of general circulation within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District not less than ten days in advance of the date of such hearing. The foregoing Resolution was adopted March 24, 1971.
