N OF THE LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY DESIGNATING BY
OFFICIALS WHO ARE AUTHORIZED TO SIGN INSTRUMENTS OF
WHEREAS, subsection 2-23.1 of Section 2-23 of Chapter 2 of the Lynwood Municipal
Code authorizes the City Council to designate, by resolution, officers of the City to sign
instruments of payment of the City and to execute instruments of payment with a facsimile
signature in lieu of a manual signature; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency wishes to abide by the Lynwood
Municipal Code requirements for the payment instrument signature authority;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency hereby finds, determines,
and resolves as follows:
Section 1. All instruments of payment of the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency must
have two signatures, with at least one of the signatures being handwritten (manual).
Section 2. Any two of the following officers of the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency
(LRA) are designated by title to sign instruments of payment with a handwritten (manual)
signature or a facsimile signature, provided that at least one of the officers is the Treasurer or
the Deputy Treasurer, unless both the Treasurer and the Deputy Treasurer are physically not
available, in which case the Agency Chairperson's or the Executive Director's signature
would be necessary, in addition to the second approving officer:
1. Treasurer 4. Executive Director
2. Deputy Treasurer 5. Assistant City Manager -Finance
3. Agency Chairperson
Section 3. That the Treasurer is directed to provide certified copies of this resolution
to all financial institutions used as depositories for the LRA funds, and to process further
documentation, including, but not limited to, providing signature exemplars of the officers
specified in Section 2 above, required by those financial institutions for the purpose of
implementing this resolution.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
