WHEREAS, Frank J. Lane, Jr. has faithfully served as a
St. Louis County member of the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District from April 22, 1965, until
April 18, 1973; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lane served as vice-chairman and chairman
of the Board, respectively, from July 1, 1967 to July 1, 1968, and
from July 10, 1968, to July 10, 1969; and
WHEREAS, this Board wishes to express its sincere
appreciation to Mr. Lane for these years of outstanding service to
the District and the citizens it serves;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
The Board herewith cites and thanks Mr. Lane for the
generous giving of his time and energies in service to the
District, for the exemplary character and high level of abilities
which made his service of great importance in the continued
success and progress of the District;
Mr. Lane brought to the District qualities of high
intelligence, articulate leadership, incisive and analytical
thinking that were invaluable in helping to resolve the most
difficult of problems confronting the District;
Not only were Mr. Lane's qualities an immeasurable
asset to the District, he has been, and is, a good and valued
friend. His presence on this Board will be missed, by the Board,
by the District, and by its citizens.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this expression
be forwarded to Mr. Lane. The foregoing Resolution was adopted April 19, 1973.
