WHEREAS, A. Ray Parker has faithfully served as a St.
Louis County member of the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District from March 4, 1964, until January 18,
1974; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Parker served as chairman of the Board
from December 29, 1965, through June 30, 1967, and from July 1,
1972, through June 30, 1973; and as vice-chairman of the Board
from July 1, 1965, until December 29, 1965, and from July 1, 1971,
through June 30, 1972; and
WHEREAS, this Board wishes to express its sincerest
appreciation to Mr. Parker for this 10 years of exceptional
service to the District and the citizens it serves;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
The Board herewith cites and thanks Mr. Parker for the
untold giving of his valuable time, energies, and outstanding
abilities in striving to lead the District to an ever greater
level of service to its citizens and continued success and
progress;
Mr. Parker's keen intelligence and acumen, his
exemplary character, his exceptional leadership, and his intensive
devotion to successfully coping with the District's many difficult
problems and complex programs will be greatly missed; but no more
so than the close and valued friendship he gave to this Board and
the District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this expression
be forwarded to Mr. Parker.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted January 30, 1974.
