WHEREAS, Del L. Bannister has faithfully served as
Director of Finance of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
from March 5, 1962, until he closed his active service with the
District February 28, 1974; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Bannister made an outstanding contribution
to the progress and well-being of the District and its citizens
through his astute, aggressive, and energetic administration of
the investment of idle District funds, thus adding untold interest
monies to District funds that otherwise would not have been
forthcoming; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Bannister's effort in the investment
program was only one of many areas in which his personal
expenditure of time, energies, loyalty, astuteness, and leadership
were far beyond any normal measure;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
The Board herewith cites and expresses its greatest
appreciation to Mr. Bannister, on its own behalf, on behalf of all
other District staff and personnel, and on behalf of the citizens
the District serves;
Mr. Bannister's exemplary and singular values to the
District in his official capacity and his great worth as a true
and warm friend, indeed, will be truly and profoundly missed by
all.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this expression
be forwarded to Mr. Bannister.
