WHEREAS, R. Emmett Concannon has faithfully served as a
City of St. Louis member of the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District from March 3, 1967 until
January 12, 1977; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Concannon served two terms as vice-
chairman and one term as chairman of the Board; and
WHEREAS, this Board wishes to express its sincere
appreciation to Mr. Concannon for these years of outstanding
service to the District and the citizens it serves;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
The Board herewith cites and thanks Mr. Concannon for
the time, effort and capabilities he has devoted to assuring the
continued success of the District in fulfilling the public service
for which it is responsible;
Mr. Concannon has contributed the highest levels of
intelligence, firm and decisive leadership, and a special quality
of incisive business acumen that have proven invaluable in
resolving some of the most difficult problems confronting the
District;
Equally gratifying, his warm, personable, human
qualities have made him a good and valued friend. He will be
greatly missed by the Board, by the District and its citizens.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this expression
be forwarded to Mr. Concannon.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted January 26, 1977.
