WHEREAS, the East-West Gateway Coordinating Council has
requested appointment of a representative of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to serve on the East-West Gateway
Coordinating Council 208 Water Quality Areawide Policy Committee;
and
WHEREAS, the Committee is responsible for forming water
quality planning policy and for making recommendations to the
East-West Gateway Coordinating Council's Board of Directors for
final approval, and
WHEREAS, the Committee will accomplish this charge by
assisting the East-West Gateway Coordinating Council's Water
Quality Staff and its consultants in the identification of water
quality problems in the St. Louis Region; by aiding in the
technical, legal, social, political and economic solutions to
these problems; and by reviewing these solutions; and by selecting
the best possible solution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that the Chairman of
the Board of Trustees is hereby designated to serve on the 208
Water Quality Areawide Policy Committee, and is further authorized
to appoint a designated representative from the Board of Trustees
or Staff to serve in his behalf if the Chairman should be unable
to attend the meetings.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted February 9, 1977.
