WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1454 The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, organized and existing
under and by virtue of the laws of the State of Missouri (herein
called the "Applicant"), has filed an application with the
Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of
Environmental Quality - Water Quality Program (Missouri Clean
Water Commission) for a grant under Sections 204.200 - 204.240,
Revised Statutes of Missouri, 1959, Cumulative Supplement, 1967
(herein called the "Government") for a grant to aid in the
preparation of a Preliminary Engineering Study of the Management
of Combined Sewers in the Mississippi River Watershed.
WHEREAS, the Government has approved such application
subject to certain conditions, and has submitted to the Applicant
a certain Grant Agreement dated as of July 19, 1977 (herein called
the "Grant Agreement"), has identified such Grant Agreement as
Project No. C291977-01, for approval and execution by the
Applicant, which said Grant Agreement is satisfactory.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE APPLICANT that the said Grant Agreement, a copy of which is
attached hereto, be and the same is hereby approved. The
Executive Director is hereby authorized and directed to execute
the said Grant Agreement in the name and on behalf of the
Applicant, in as many counterparts as may be necessary, and the
Secretary-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to affix or
impress the official seal of the Applicant hereon and to attest
the same. The proper officer is directed to forward the said
executed counterparts of said Grant Agreement to the Government,
together with such other documents evidencing the approval and
authorization to execute the same as may be required by the
Government. The foregoing Resolution was adopted July 27, 1977.
