WHEREAS, Peter F. Mattei has faithfully served as an
executive of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District since
October 28, 1957, and as the District's Executive Director from
June 24, 1960, until his retirement from that position on May 4,
1978; and
WHEREAS, his tireless devotion to the well-being of the
District and his aggressive and energetic leadership have
contributed extensively to the outstanding development and
progress of the District during his tenure as Executive Director,
and
WHEREAS, he has been widely respected and recognized as
a registered professional engineer during those years, through
awards from many sources and his selection to serve as an officer
of professional engineering organizations, thereby reflecting
great credit upon the District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
The Board herewith cites and extends its greatest
appreciation to Mr. Mattei, on behalf of itself, of all other
District staff and personnel, and of the citizens whom the
District serves.
Mr. Mattei's long exemplary service and leadership have
been of incomparable value.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this expression
be presented to Mr. Mattei.
