WHEREAS, Richard A. Meyer has completed his second term
as a member of the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, serving as a St. Louis County member from April
10, 1974, until June 28, 1978; having previously served as a City
of St. Louis member from September 10, 1962, until February 18,
1966; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Meyer served the Board both as its
chairman and vice-chairman; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Meyer served as a key member of the Audit
Committee and Pension Committee, as well as other Board
committees, devoting many hours to improvement of the operations
and organization of the District; and
WHEREAS, this Board wishes to express its sincerest
appreciation to Mr. Meyer for these years of faithful and
distinguished service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
The Board herewith cites and thanks Mr. Meyer for these
many years of his time, profound interest, exceptional abilities,
judgment and strong leadership; his immeasurable value as a member
of this Board will be greatly missed by the Board, by the District
and by the citizens the District serves.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this expression
be forwarded to Mr. Meyer.
