WHEREAS, Charles Clardy has faithfully served The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District from November 1, 1954, until
June 19, 1981, one of the longest tenures of any District
employee; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clardy served the District during these
years both as an attorney and from July 20, 1962, in the key
position of Secretary-Treasurer of the District; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clardy in all of his endeavors on behalf
of the District and the citizens it serves made an outstanding
contribution through his astute, energetic and dedicated
fulfillment of every responsibility; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clardy exemplified the utmost in honesty,
integrity and strength of character, thereby bringing great credit
and respect to the District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
The Board herewith cites and expresses its greatest
appreciation to Mr. Clardy, on its own behalf, on behalf of all
other District staff and personnel, and on behalf of the citizens
the District serves;
Mr. Clardy's singular value to the District in his
official capacity and his great worth as a genuine friend will be
profoundly missed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this expression
be forwarded to Mr. Clardy.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted July 1, 1981.
