WHEREAS, recent flooding conditions have seriously
damaged certain public facilities of the District, resulting in
the expenditure of thousands of dollars for the repair or
replacement of said facilities, and
WHEREAS, the District will seek Federal financial
assistance for the aforesaid damages under the Disaster Relief Act
(Public Law 288, 93rd Congress), and in doing so, must designate a
duly authorized agent of the Board of Trustees for all matters
pertaining to the application for and acceptance of said Federal
financial assistance,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
That Charles B. Kaiser, Jr., Assistant Executive
Director and General Counsel of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, shall henceforth be the authorized agent of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for all matters pertaining
to the application for and acceptance of Federal financial
assistance under the Disaster Relief Act (Public Law 288, 93rd
Congress), and further, he shall have the authority to execute any
instruments on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
that may be required under said Act.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted January 19, 1983.
