HomeMy Public PortalAboutR1701 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 1701 WHEREAS, The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of Missouri has filed applications with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region VII, for grants under the Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. 466 et seq.), and with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, for grants under Section 192.600 et seq., Revised Statues of Missouri, 1969, for the construction (Step 3) of trunk sewers, pumping stations and interim treatment facilities in the Grand Glaize, Kiefer and Fishpot watersheds of the Lower Meramec River Basin, and WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region VII and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources have approved such applications subject to certain conditions, and WHEREAS, the implications of the Hancock Amendment of the State of Missouri indicate the possibility of payment being withheld or payback being required of the aforementioned State grant funds for said construction. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that it is hereby acknowledged that the implications of the Hancock Amendment of the State of Missouri indicate the possibility of payment being withheld or payback being required of State grant funds for the construction (Step 3) of trunk sewers, pumping stations and interim treatment facilities in the Grand Glaize, Kiefer and Fishpot watersheds of the Lower Meramec River Basin, and that this Board desires to proceed with said construction under such implications. The foregoing Resolution was adopted February 15, 1984.
