WHEREAS, Subdistrict No. 618 (Baumgartner & Heintz) was
established on petition by Ordinance No. 5415, adopted December
28, 1983, as amended by Ordinance No. 6257, adopted November 27,
1985, and
WHEREAS, investigation has shown that such area is not
adequately served by lateral sanitary sewers and that the public
health is affected, and
WHEREAS, the entire cost of the installation of such
sewers including the engineering, survey and inspection costs, is
estimated to be One Hundred Eighty-two Thousand Dollars
($182,000.00) and that the most practicable method of payment
therefore is by special tax bills or other evidence of special
benefit assessments upon the land benefitted by such installation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the construction of
adequate lateral sanitary sewers in the area known as Subdistrict
No. 618 (Baumgartner & Heintz) is necessary in the interest of
public health; that such sewer shall consist of approximately
3,742 lineal feet of 8-inch sewers, which shall be capable of
efficiently serving or draining the entire local drainage area;
that the entire cost of such improvement, including the
engineering, survey and inspection costs, to be paid for by
special tax bills or other evidence of special benefit assessments
upon the land benefitted by such improvement is estimated to be
One Hundred Eighty-two Thousand Dollars ($182,000.00), such
special tax bills to be purchased by the District and held for
collection, the necessary costs of tax bills; that such methods,
procedures and estimates of alternate costs be given to them, and
that they be told that the District will proceed in its usual
manner toward having the sewers constructed by the tax bill
method, but that if before such contract for construction is
advertised, the construction is being done by private means then,
of course, the District will refrain from proceeding. The foregoing Resolution was adopted August 13, 1986.
