ÁÁÃ*ÔR E S O L U T I O N NO. 1889•ƒ WHEREAS, Francis R. Slay served as a member of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Board of Trustees from 1979 to 1988; WHEREAS, he guided the affairs of the District when he was vice chairman in fiscal year 1980©1981 and chairman from July, 1981 until July, 1982; WHEREAS, Mr. Slay brought to the Board many years of experience that he gained during his tenure as a former state representative and St. Louis City recorder of deeds and as the present Democratic committeeman for the City's 23rd Ward; WHEREAS, his familiarity in governmental affairs allowed him to weigh the many issues brought before the District with knowledge and a genuine interest in the welfare of the St. Louis community; WHEREAS, Mr. Slay's outstanding rapport with the public helped to further public relations and his presence on the Board will be greatly missed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that on behalf of the Board and the citizens of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District that we thank Mr. Slay for his ten years of dedicated service on the Board and wish him well in his future endeavors. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this expression be presented to Francis R. Slay. The foregoing Resolution was adopted April 12, 1989.
