Police Personnel Board
Minutes—February 2, 2017
The meeting was called to order at 12:04pm.
Eight persons attended as follows:

Following greetings, roll call was taken.
Approval of December 8, 2016 minutes
It was moved by Turner and seconded by Dillon that the minutes for the December 8, 2016 Board meeting be approved.
The motion was carried unanimously.
Vote for approval of Police Personnel Board roles for 2017
It was moved by Derks and seconded by Bledsoe to approve the Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary for 2017 as follows:
Bill Burton – Chair
Rob Trowbridge – Vice chair
Lisa Turner – Secretary
The motion was carried unanimously.
New Business
Police officer vacancy Chief Schroeder announced that a former police officer contacted him and wanted to return to
the department as a police officer. Chief Schroeder stated that another police officer had recently left, therefore an
opening became available. Chief Schroeder had the normal background screening completed on this former Police
Officer which followed the protocol that was set by the Police Personnel Board months prior when a similar situation
presented itself. This person is tentatively scheduled to start sometime in late February, 2017.
Police Information Manager Position Chief Schroeder announced that this position was filled after final interviews and
will be starting on February 20th, 2017.
Begin Closed Session (see closed minutes for details)
A motion was made by Trowbridge and seconded by Bledsoe at 12:16 for the Police Personnel Board to go into closed
session pursuant to RSMo. 610-021; the motion passed. (Chief Schroeder, Lt. Stiefermann, and Sara Trittler remained
for the ensuing discussion.)

End Closed Session
A motion was made by Derks and seconded by Dillon for the Police Personnel Board to come out of closed session at
12:54pm; the motion passed.

Lt. Stiefermann stated that he would be sending out emails to schedule oral Board interviews with the candidates for
December 13th for the Communications Operator position and December 15-16th for the Police Officer positions. He
reminded the Board members that any of them are welcome to come and sit in on these if they wish.
Next meeting – March 2nd, 2017
It was moved by Dillon and seconded by Turner for adjournment. The meeting was adjourned at 12:58p.m.
