Minutes of Meeting
USS Jefferson City Submarine Committee
Tuesday April 26, 2016; 5:30 p.m.
City Hall-320 East McCarty Street
Boone Bancroft Conference Room
1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Dulle called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Committee Members present: Chair Hal Dulle; Bob Priddy; Stephen Sampson; Marti
Thruston; Patrick Bonnot;Lori Rosberg and Councilmember Jim Branch.
Committee Members absent: Ivan Turner and Michael Ryno.
A quorum was declared present.
ATTENDEES:
Also in attendance were Mayor Tergin and City Administrator Steve Crowell.
3. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
Committee Member Priddy made a motion to approve the agenda; seconded by
Committee Member Rosberg.
Aye: Dulle; Priddy; Bonnot; Sampson; Rosberg; Thruston; and Branch
Nay: None.
4. APPROVAL OF THE OCTOBER 14,2015 MEETING MINUTES:
Committee Member Bonnot made a motion to approve the minutes from the October
14, 2015 USS Jefferson City Submarine Committee meeting; seconded by Committee
Member Thruston.
Aye: Dulle; Priddy; Bonnot; Sampson; Rosberg; Thruston; and Branch
Nay: None.
5. OLD BUSINESS:
•
Committee Member Bonnot gave a brief overview of his visit to Hawaii where he was
able reach out to the USS Jefferson City (no public access was available) and tour the
USS Missouri. Committee Member Bonnot indicated that no taxpayer money was used
for this visit. The Committee commended Committee Member Bonnot for reaching out
to the crews of the USS Jefferson City and the USS Missouri.
6. NEW BUSINESS:
Committee Member Thurston reviewed the tentative schedule for the USS Jefferson
City Submarine Crew Visit tentatively planned for May 10, 2016. The Committee
agreed to participate in the event as schedules permitted. The Committee also
recognized that the City would be paying necessary expenditures, such as food, for the
crew members.
The Committee members asked City Administrator Crowell to issue a press release
regarding the USS Jefferson City Submarine Crew Visit.
7. PUBLIC COMMENTS:
None.
S. NEXT MEETING DATE:
No future meeting date of the USS Jefferson City Submarine Committee was scheduled.
9. ADJOURNMENT:
Motion to adjourn was made by Committee Member Priddy; seconded by Committee
Member Thruston.
