WHEREAS, Richard F. Daykin admirably served the St.
Louis Community for 22 years, most of which as the Director of the
St. Louis County Highway Department; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure as St. Louis County Highway
Department Director, Mr. Daykin and the District worked closely
together on many mutually beneficial projects in the community;
and
WHEREAS, under Mr. Daykin's leadership, the St. Louis
County highway system excelled in meeting the transportation needs
of the County; and
WHEREAS, the legacy Mr. Daykin left upon his death will
be a lasting one in the St. Louis community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of
Trustees of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District wishes to
convey its deepest sympathies to the Daykin family, his wife Betty
and son Richard, upon his passing and to acknowledge the many
contributions to the community made by Richard Daykin during his
public service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
be presented to Mrs. Betty Daykin as a lasting tribute to the many
accomplishments of Richard F. Daykin.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted November 6, 1991.
