WHEREAS, Kennard O. Whitfield has served as a member of the
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Civil Service Commission for 21 years,
from March, 1973 to September, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Whitfield served as Commission Chairman for two years;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Whitfield's knowledge and wisdom in interpreting the
Civil Service Rules has been beneficial to all employees; and
WHEREAS, the decisions rendered by Mr. Whitfield were always fair
and equally applied to all workers; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Whitfield's contributions to this community through
his service on the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Civil Service
Commission, and his membership on numerous other civic and community boards,
have been invaluable,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that this Board, on behalf of the
District and the public it serves, wishes to thank Mr. Whitfield for his many
years of service to the District as a member of the Civil Service Commission
and this community, and commend him for his ability and fairness while serving.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be presented
to Mr. Whitfield in acknowledgement of his service and contributions.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted October 12, 1994.
