HomeMy Public PortalAboutR2156 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 2156 WHEREAS, on September 19, 1994, The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Emergency Crew members Gilbert Coleman, Sam Heck, Rick Parrott and their foreman, Tom Follmer entered a burning house in University City to rescue a man and woman, and thereafter re-entered said house to extinguish the fire, and WHEREAS, the bravery and heroism as exhibited by said individuals exemplify the commitment of District workers in performing above and beyond the call of their duty to serve the community, and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees wishes to acknowledge and recognize said acts of bravery and heroism, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT, that this Board, on behalf of itself, the District and the public it serves, herewith acknowledges and commends District Emergency Crew members Gilbert Coleman, Sam Heck, Rick Parrott and their foreman, Tom Follmer for their brave and heroic acts in rescuing a man and woman from a burning house in University City on September 19, 1994, and thereafter re-entering said house to extinguish the fire. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be presented to Messrs. Coleman, Heck, Parrott and Follmer. The foregoing Resolution was adopted November 9, 1994.
