HomeMy Public PortalAboutR2160 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 2160 WHEREAS, Thomas A. Matheny served as a Trustee of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District from June, 1986 until June, 1994 representing St. Louis County; and WHEREAS, Mr. Matheny demonstrated considerable leadership skills during his Board tenure, serving three terms as Chairman of the Board of Trustees; and WHEREAS, during Mr. Matheny's tenure, the District made considerable strides in eliminating pollution from our streams by passing the District's $450-million Capital Improvement Surcharge to fund necessary clean water projects; and WHEREAS, Mr. Matheny's fortitude in dealing with issues confronting The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District helped strengthen the District in order to meet future challenges; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Matheny graciously volunteered his time and efforts to serve on this Board, and for many other civic endeavors for the betterment of this community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that this Board, on behalf of the District and the public it serves, wishes to acknowledge the many contributions and service Thomas A. Matheny has given to the customers of the District and commend him for these actions. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be presented to Mr. Matheny as a token of our appreciation for his service. The foregoing Resolution was adopted December 8, 1994.
