WHEREAS, Robert S. Flick has distinguished himself and The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District through his exemplary service for twenty-four years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Flick contributed greatly to the overall development of the
District in its formative years, having started in wastewater treatment and having served for
three years as the Executive Director, during which time the District established its reputation
as one of the premier sewer districts in the nation; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Flick remains a tireless promoter of the District, volunteering his
time and energies to all types of District-related activities; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Flick is a strong advocate of educating and informing the youth
and adults of the community about the importance of wastewater treatment; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Flick is recognized as a leader in the field of wastewater
treatment, serving on numerous state and federal organizations; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Flick is deeply devoted to his wife Mary, and their children Mary
Jane, Kathleen, Susan and Joseph, and their grandchildren.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
This Board, on behalf of itself, all the District personnel and the citizens served
by it, wishes to acknowledge and extend its appreciation to Robert S. Flick for his twenty-four
years of contributions to the District and the community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mr.
Flick as a token of our thanks.
