WHEREAS, Albert M. Schlueter has faithfully served as a Commissioner on The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Civil Service Commission for 18 years from March, 1978
to July, 1996, and
WHEREAS, during his term in office, Mr. Schlueter has demonstrated his
diplomacy in dealing with employees and exhibited his knowledge of the law in the area of
personnel matters, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Schlueter served as Chairman of the Commission for 16 years.
His leadership has helped the Commission carry out its duties in a timely and efficient
manner, and
WHEREAS, the decisions rendered by the MSD Civil Service Commission have
been fair and just to all parties involved, an example of his abilities and skills in this field, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Schlueter's contribution to this community through his service on
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Civil Service Commission, and his membership on
other civic and community boards, have been invaluable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that this Board on behalf of itself, the
employees of the District and the citizens MSD serves, wishes to thank Mr. Albert M.
Schlueter for his 18 years of exemplary service on the MSD Civil Service Commission, and
commend him for his ability and fairness while serving.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as a display of this appreciation, a copy of
this resolution shall be presented to Mr. Schlueter by the Board.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted August 15, 1996.
