WHEREAS, Charles M. Deeba served as a member of the Board of Trustees of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, representing the City of St. Louis from September,
1990 until his death on January 31, 1997; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure in office, Mr. Deeba exhibited extraordinary
leadership skills, and made significant contributions to the Board, the District and the public it
serves; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Deeba was a tireless fighter for District customers; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Deeba was an active participant in the community, and
remained involved in many civic and charitable events; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Deeba was a dedicated public servant to the citizens of the City
of St. Louis, having served as an assistant circuit attorney and public administrator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
That this Board on behalf of the District, expresses its heartfelt condolences to
the family of Charles M. Deeba upon the death of Mr. Deeba on January 31, 1997, and
further expresses its deepest appreciation for the distinguished service rendered by Mr. Deeba
to the District and the entire St. Louis community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be presented to his
family after its enactment.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted February 13, 1997.
