WHEREAS, Carolyn D. Seward served as Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for Fiscal Year 1997; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Seward was appointed to the Board in May, 1994 representing
the City of St. Louis, and reappointed in 1997 to continue her representation of the residents
of the City in a fair and just way; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Seward's leadership, her skill at analyzing situations, and her
resolve to move the District forward in addressing community needs were much admired and
appreciated by Ms. Seward's fellow Trustees, the District staff, and citizens within the District,
and
WHEREAS, Ms. Seward lent her considerable knowledge and expertise to help
the District develop and implement a Customer Service Division to enhance the provision of
services to all District customers; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Seward's service to the St. Louis community extends well
beyond her role as a District Trustee to other civic and charitable organizations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT THAT it wishes to express its
appreciation and thanks to Carolyn Seward for her service as Chairwoman of the board of
Trustees during Fiscal Year 1997.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be presented to Ms.
Seward by the Board.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted July 10, 1997.
