WHEREAS, Fred W. Lindecke has had a distinguished career of 34 years as a
reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch; and
WHEREAS, during the course of his career, The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District was honored to have Mr. Lindecke report on events occurring here and in the
community the District serves regarding the sewer, stormwater and river systems; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lindecke's articles on The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
were factual and contained information important to the District customers and readers of the
St. Louis Post-Dispatch; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lindecke was always noted for his objective and tenacious
reporting not only of the District, but all other topics he covered;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT THAT upon the retirement of Fred W.
Lindecke from his long and distinguished career as a reporter in the St. Louis area, this Board
wishes to recognize Mr. Lindecke for his service in providing information to the public through
his objective and insightful reporting of issues, and wishes him well upon his retirement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE BOARD THAT a copy of this resolution
be given to Mr. Lindecke.
