WHEREAS, Glenn J. Sheffield served as Chairperson of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District Board of Trustees from July 1, 1997 until June 30, 1998, and
WHEREAS, during her tenure as Chairperson, Ms. Sheffield's leadership and
diplomacy proved invaluable to her fellow Board members and to the District's staff in deciding
many difficult issues confronting them, and
WHEREAS, Ms. Sheffield remains a tireless advocate of the District, promoting
it and the important environmental service it provides to St. Louis whenever and wherever
possible, and
WHEREAS, her experience and skill in dealing with the public was demonstrated
throughout her tenure as Chairperson and continues as a Trustee, and
WHEREAS, Ms. Sheffield's service as District Chairperson and Board member is
just one of many civic and charitable contributions she makes to this community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
THAT, this Board on behalf of itself, the District and its people, and the citizens
it serves, herewith wishes to express its thanks and gratitude for a job well done to Glenn J.
Sheffield for her service as Chairperson of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Board of
Trustees for Fiscal Year 1998.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in a display of its appreciation, a copy of
this resolution be presented to Ms. Sheffield during a Board meeting.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted July 9, 1998.
