HomeMy Public PortalAboutR2304 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 2304 WHEREAS, John F. Koeper began his career with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District on March 2, 1970 as Manager of Pump Stations, and thereafter advanced through the positions of Director of Maintenance and Director of Operations, culminating with his appointment as Executive Director on June 1, 1994, in which office he served until his retirement effective November 1, 1998; and WHEREAS, Mr. Koeper has been a capable and dedicated administrator whose leadership has helped lay the groundwork for the District to enter the next millennium prepared to face current and future challenges; and WHEREAS, during Mr. Koeper's tenure as Executive Director, the District has continued its customer service initiatives and implemented an appraisal system improvement program, most notably along the River des Peres sewer and flood protection system; and WHEREAS, Mr. Koeper has given of his time and energy as an active participant in local and national organizations including the American Public Works Association, the Association of Municipal Sewerage Agencies, the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers, and many local charitable and civic groups; and WHEREAS, Mr. Koeper remains a devoted family man, placing the interests of his wife, four daughters and five grandchildren ahead of his own; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: 2 THAT, this Board, on behalf of itself, the District, and the public it serves, wishes to publicly acknowledge, commend and express its appreciation to John F. Koeper for his leadership and service to the District and the community. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be presented to Mr. Koeper. The foregoing Resolution was adopted December 10, 1998.
