A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
ACCEPTING THE MAINTENANCE OF THE LYNWOOD SEWER SYSTEM
PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 05-5338, AS BEING COMPLETE; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PROCESS THE RECORDATION OF
THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, on February 6, 2007, the City Council awarded a contract to
Empire Pipe Cleaning and Equipment, Inc., in the amount of $485,600.00 and
WHEREAS, The Project Maintenance started on March 14, 2007 and was
completed on March 20, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the project was funded by the Water Fund; and
WHEREAS, the final maintenance cost of the project is $ 492,628.20; and
WHEREAS, Public Works Department conducted the final inspection on
April 3, 2008 and found that all work has been completed in accordance with the
project plans and specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves
Change Orders No. 1 and No. 2 resulting in an additional cost in the amount of $
j 7,028.20; accepts the Maintenance of the Lynwood Sewer System Project,
Project No. 05-5338, as complete in accordance with the contract documents;
and authorizes the City Engineer to process the recordation of the Notice of
Completion.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this
Resolution.
