WHEREAS, Thomas W. Purcell served on The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District's Board of Trustees from April 2000 through March 2003, and
WHEREAS, during his tenure, Mr. Purcell worked to protect the interests of
the District's citizens, and the St. Louis community, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Purcell diligently worked for the passage of the MSD Charter
amendments in November 2000, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Purcell served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, in
Fiscal Year 2001, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Purcell’s service to the District is but one of many ways he has
contributed to the St. Louis community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
THAT, this Board on behalf of itself, the District and its people and the
citizens it serves, herewith expresses its gratitude to Thomas W. Purcell for his
service as a Trustee and as the Chairman of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District’s Board of Trustees for Fiscal Year 2001.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that as a token of appreciation, a framed copy
of this Resolution be presented to Mr. Purcell.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted May 22, 2003.
