WHEREAS, George R. “Buzz” Westfall served as St. Louis
County Executive from 1990 until his untimely death on October 27,
2003, and
WHEREAS, under Mr. Westfall's leadership, St. Louis
County grew and prospered, and Mr. Westfall's positive influence had
considerable impact throughout the St. Louis region and the State of
Missouri, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Westfall took particular interest in the
District and strove to improve the District's operations and status in the
greater St. Louis community,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
THAT, this Board on behalf of itself, the District and its
people, and the citizens it serves, expresses its heartfelt condolences to
Mr. Westfall's wife, Laurie and their family, and further expresses its
deepest appreciation for the long and distinguished public service
rendered by Mr. Westfall to the entire St. Louis community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution
be presented to Mrs. Laurie Westfall.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted November 13, 2003.
