WHEREAS, John Goffstein served on the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District from December 19, 2005 to April 17, 2013, having held the positions of
Board Chair, Board Vice Chair, Chair of the Stakeholder Relations and Audit Committees, and
served on the Pension and Finance Committees, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Goffstein's strong leadership, knowledge and expertise imparted
direction and stability to the District, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Goffstein's contribution serving on the Stakeholder Relations
and Audit Committees assured a continued diligent focus on the District’s fiscal matters, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Goffstein's contributions to the St. Louis Community reach far
beyond his service on the District’s Board, including but not limited to, serving on the St. Louis
County Bar Association and St. Louis Metropolitan Bar Association, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT; THAT, this Board on behalf of itself,
the District and the people it serves, herewith expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude to
John Goffstein for his service on the Board of Trustees and for his many contributions to the
St. Louis Community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT, a copy of this Resolution be presented to
Mr. Goffstein in recognition of his service and accomplishment.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted on May 9, 2013.
