WHEREAS, the adoption of Resolution No. 3468 will extend the contract with
The St. Louis Agency of Training and Employment (SLATE) that was previously authorized by
Ordinance No. 13730, adopted October 10, 2013, which authorized the Executive Director and
Secretar y-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with SLATE, whereby SLATE will administer the District’s First Source Hiring
Program and to provide outreach and tracking of applicants hired with the service area.
WHEREAS, said contract provided for an initial term of one (1) year with
additional one-year renewal terms at the option of the District; and
WHEREAS, the contract is about to expire and the District desires to exercise its
option to renew said contract for a fifth (5th) one-year term.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT THAT, the Executive Director and
Secretar y-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to exercise the District's option to renew for a fifth one-year term the contract with
SLATE, whereby SLATE will administer the District’s First Source Hiring Program and provide
outreach and tracking of applicants hired with the service area, and said contract renewal shall be
comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of the General
Counsel of the District.
This foregoing Resolution was adopted December 13, 2018.
