HomeMy Public PortalAboutR3493 ST-IG Content Analytics SoftwareRESOLUTION NO. 3493 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 3493 will exercise option year one (1) of the contract previously authorized by Ordinance No. 14868 adopted February 15, 2018, which authorized the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Accelerated Information Systems (AIS) whereby AIS will provide Content Analytics for the District. WHEREAS, said contract provided for an initial term of one (1) year with one (1) additional one-year renewal term at the option of the District, and WHEREAS, THE Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District desires to exercise its first (1st) and only option year to renew said contract for an additional one-year term; and WHEREAS, the content analytics cleanup project will eliminate all the redundant, obsolete and trivial (ROT) information from MSD’s electronic file storage system. The project will identify the correct MSD business records that need to be retained to meet regulatory requirements and operational needs; and WHEREAS, MSD has unstructured information contained in various repositories including SharePoint, File Shares, and e-mail. In addition, convenience copies are kept in several locations. As a result, responses to legal discovery and public information requests are challenging, labor intensive, and costly. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to exercise the District’s option to renew for the one-year renewal term the Contract with AIS, whereby AIS, will provide Content Analytics Services. Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of this resolution shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. The foregoing Resolution was Adopted on March 14, 2019.
