WHEREAS, per Section 7.280(f) of the Charter Plan of the Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District the Rate Commission has applied to the Board of Trustees for a forty-
five (45) day extension to the Procedural Schedule to issue the Rate Commission Report to the
Board of Trustees and public; and
WHEREAS, on March 4, 2019 the District delivered the Rate Change Notice to
the Rate Commission; and
WHEREAS, Section 7.280(f) of the Charter Plan requires the Rate Commission
issue its Rate Recommendation Report to the Board and public within one hundred twenty (120)
days after receipt of the Rate Change Notice and no later than July 2, 2019; and
WHEREAS, on March 4, 2019 the Rate Commission voted to request the a forty-
five (45) day extension; and
WHEREAS, Section 7.280(f) of the Charter Plan established that the Board of
Trustees may, upon application of the Rate Commission, extend the period of time for the
issuance of the Rate Commission Report for one additional forty-five (45) day period; and
WHEREAS, on March 8, 2019 the Rate Commission adopted a Procedural
Schedule to support issuance of the Rate Recommendation Report within one hundred sixty-five
(165) days; and
WHEREAS, on March 14, 2019 the Rate Commission applied to the Board of
Trustees requesting a forty-five (45) day extension to the Procedural Schedule.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT, THAT the Board hereby grants the
forty-five (45) day extension to the March 8, 2019 Procedural Schedule. Issuance of the Rate
Recommendation Report to the Board and public will be no later than August 16, 2019.
